My journey to creating the Growth Through Industry Framework™ began at SPSS, a 300 million dollar predictive analytics company acquired by IBM. In the early days, we found ourselves stuck in reactive go-to-market cycles. It was unpredictable, exhausting and anything but scalable. That’s when I flipped the model. I reimagined our GTM approach. We aligned around a leadership stance and stand-out narratives, launched GTM programs that united teams internally and energized the market externally. The results? SPSS’ flagship product grew at nearly double the rate of the market. We went from chasing deals to defining the predictive analytics category. During this time, I earned top-tier performance rankings across sales, strategy, and marketing, receiving global recognition and multiple executive awards. Soon after, I left and launched Market Ascent, and SPSS was acquired by IBM. Both organizations immediately brought me in as a consultant. IBM didn’t just acquire SPSS—they adopted the category leadership our teams built.

But the real takeaway for me was this lesson: extraordinary outcomes don’t come from extraordinary luck. They come from extraordinary inputs, strategies, and actions. Original thinking. Deep collaboration. A bold, unifying vision. The willingness to stretch beyond the comfort zone and rally your team around a higher purpose. That’s what Growth Through Industry Leadership brings. And it’s what will transform your organization, too.
